Man Arrested for Drunk Driving Motorized Beer Cooler
Luckily, the vehicle wasn't harmed.
An Australian man could be headed to the slammer after being arrested in a beach resort town for drunk driving…his cooler full of beer.
Petrie’s lawyers won an adjournment from magistrate John Parker as they sought to establish “whether a motorized esky [cooler box] was in fact a motor vehicle.”
An amused Parker inquired with Petrie about his cooler box’s performance.
“How much beer can it hold?” he asked the defendant. Petrie told the court the cooler box could hold “at least a couple of cartons.”
We love how his defense wasn’t that he wasn’t drunk driving, but rather that what he was driving wasn’t a car.
This report leaves us with more questions than answers, to be honest. Was he drinking beer from within his own cooler? Can the cooler do all-terrain? Can we get one with leather interiors? What does this mean for Rick Santorum’s “Marriage is a beer” campaign?
Frankly, the whole incident reminds us very much of THIS.
