Studly Soldier Celebrates DADT’s Demise by Coming Out to Dad (Video)

Here’s one way to celebrate the end of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell – come out to dear old dad. Or if you want to one up that, come out to dear old dad while on deployment overseas.

For those of you keeping score at home, DADT has been off then on, then off, then… I’ve lost count. But that all changed today at the stroke of midnight with a final silver bullet through the discriminatory heart of this archaic military rule.

How awesome is Dad? I think he really nailed the dismount on that one and gets a perfect score from me. As someone who didn’t have quite as smooth a coming out experience, it made me feel great to know this young man (who is totally studly, in case you’re blind) can continue to serve his country with pride and no longer has to hide who he is from his (awesome, unconditional loving, accepting) family.

DADT is dunzo, y’all. Long live equality (and studly soldiers).
