Friday Freakout: Southwest Kisses Gays Goodbye, Bullies Cheer Suicide, and a Christian Sign
It has been quite the week in the world of LGBT news. A particularly depressing one, if you ask me, so this week’s Friday Freakout has a bit more of a muted tone. From Southwest Airlines kicking off L Word actress Leisha Hailey for kissing her girlfriend to Jamey Rodermeyer’s bullies cheering his death, it’s been a series of WTF moments for this particular blogger.
I will never understand what it is about people that lead them to discount, disrespect or flat out ignore the right of a fellow human being to exist. All of these people playing God by wielding their so-called “moral compass” as a weapon are all full of sh*t. They need to get over their fear of people who are different, and begin to realize that our world will only gain strength through kindness, empathy, and understanding.
It’s time to kick it up a notch and start being good to each other!
