Herman Cain: Godfather of Pizza & Sexual Identity

Blah blah blah, Herman Cain, blah blah blah, “being gay is a choice and the fight for equality in America is just a difference of opinion.” Show him some science, blah blah blah.

Herman Cain used a spot on The View this week to talk absolute freaking nonsense about homosexuality and the fight for equality. Obvious brain-melting ignorant comments about homosexuality being a choice because he commands it to be (or something…) aside, Cain’s comment about governing according to the U.S. Constitution is essentially an “F You” to all those who envision an America with liberty and justice for all. Like the gays, for example.

To all of those rightfully annoyed with President Obama’s flippant comments yesterday about “working on” even considering to maybe think about gay marriage someday possibly down the road (maybe) – this clip of Cain is all the proof we need that Obama is still our best bet by a longshot. Romney, Perry, Cain and Bachman are all just different cuts of the same crazy that will set us back decades in our fight for equality.

Sharpen your pencils, un-hang your chads, and polish your voting shoes for next year or you might just find yourself shacking up with a lover of the opposite sex BECAUSE HERMAN CAIN SAYS SO! Mwahaha!

People can say what they will, and complain all they want, but I’ll still be voting for Obama again, come next election. He may not be a perfect human being, but who is? He’s doing his best, after taking on the craphole our country was in before.

Why is it always only other people (with whom you disagree) that have an “agenda?” And why do conservatives always resort to MacCarthyism and immediately start throwing that “communist” word around when they want to discredit someone with opposing views? Really? Because I don’t think he’s expressed desire too nor taken any steps to create an anti-religious theocracy (backwards, but essentially what communism comes out too) in which the government owns every penny of every dollar earn and then distributes it as they see fit. He doesn’t even fit the socialist economist of taking in a fair tax and distributing equally. He’s social democratic if even that – he supports certain social programs to benefit the welfare of ALL Americans and a flat tax.

y’know, I know Ron Paul is against gay rights but he’s said so many times he’s going to make it a states’ rights issue, because it is. Meaning DOMA would be gone under him, and marriage would be entirely decided on a state-to-state level. JUST SAYING.

It’s bad enough that most media ignores him though. Even if you disagree with him, ignoring him as an important Republican candidate isn’t something you aughta do guys.

If it were left to Ron Paul, everything would be states rights. So, women, blacks and gays would fair better in New England and California, but better stay away from the southern states. Is that really the country you want to live in?

I dont think he has ever said he was against gay rights… he only said he leaves it up to the states… he is more of an “to each is own” kind of guy. Am i wrong here?

No, you’re right, he’s not explicitly against any groups rights. He’s for state by state referendum. That’s the problem. Assuming by your name that you’re a woman. Would you want to have to check the state you moved to to determine if you could vote, hold a job, be protected from discrimination, be considered property of your husband’s? Some things states are good at, others, like basic rights for all, not so much.

None of us should be single issue voters and allow a candidate’s position on gay marriage alone determine how we vote. But seeing as how most of the Republican candidates are lunatic whores with dirty oil running through their veins, I’d have to be daft to vote for anyone but Obama at this point. There is no way that any of the more socially progressive Republicans will win the nomination. (And Mr “Let-the-states-decide-because-that-worked-for-miscegenation-which-I-don’t-care-about-anyways-because-I’m-a-closet-racist” Ron Paul is a fundamentalist in his own pecuniary way. No thanks.)
