Steven Iorio: Burned

Were Brandon Washington and David Blair unclear that the second F in BFF stood for forever and not fire? How else do you explain the two soaking their friend Steven Iorio in rum while he slept and then setting him on fire?

Why’d they do it? Because he is gay.

No seriously though, why’d they do it?

Heidelberg police have charged Brandon Washington and David Blair with aggravated assault and ethnic intimidation.

An eyewitness told investigators that the men poured a bottle of rum on Iorio and then lit him on fire while he was sleeping because he is gay.

“They wrote disturbing things on his pants and drew on his face,” said Cook.

When reporters came knocking on Blair’s door, the homophobic arsonist literally took off running away from the cameras.

WPXI has video of the victim’s injuries, if you’re into that sort of thing.

For the record, neither one of the firestarters have been arrested.

You know… much as I think these two creeps should be punished for this, Unicorn guys, you aren’t doing us any favors by inflating this thing and leaving out the fact that they didn’t pour a whole bottle of alcohol on him or “soak” him with it, but poured the liquor on his leg and set it on fire. His burns, while severe, were confined to the back of his leg.

Yes, it was a terrible thing to do, but let’s be careful how we report things, lest we give the other side ammunition.
