LGBT Adoption Rights by State (Infographic)

By our count LGBT couples are permitted access to joint adoption rights under the law in only 16 states, yet there are over 2 million children being raised by same-sex parents in our country. The ten states barring gay parents from adoption are succeeding only in hurting the children in these families, and certainly not in preventing them from existing in the first place.

Do same-sex parents possess equal adoption rights in your state?

Ok I only see five states the don’t allow adoption by same sex couples, Louisiana being one of them of which I am deeply ashamed

It’s no surprise that Mississippi is one of the 5 states were same sex couples can’t adopt. :/ I hate living in this blasted state…..

Allowing homosexuals to adoption is nothing more than legalized child abuse. There is something profoundly wrong with a country that condones child abuse.
