My people!
This has just been a sweet little taste of the soulful, saucy bounty that is New Orleans. I, for one, am smitten. I cannot wait to call this town my home. I cannot wait to feel the shirt stick to me in the summer, and I cannot wait for the dozens of visitors that are going to be holding court in my house.
I’ve lived in Brooklyn, Mexico, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Switzerland and London – and no where has evoked such excited reactions as New Orleans. Everyone wants to visit me here, and it is most surely because this city still captures the heart and triggers the imagination. It is quaint and charming while still being energetic and alive.
New Orleans is electric, and I can’t wait to plug in.
