Lady Gaga Announces ‘Born This Way Foundation’ to Fight Bullying

Yesterday Lady Gaga announced the establishment of her new foundation aimed at ending teen bullying. The Born This Way Foundation will be a collaboration with The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and is scheduled to go live sometime in 2012.

Gaga has been a champion in the fight against teen bullying. Earlier this year she performed a tribute to Jamie Rodenmeyer after his suicide and the ensuing bullying of his sister at a school event.

“Together we hope to establish a standard of Bravery and Kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment,” the pop singer said in a statement.
