Nationwide Emergency Alert Test Goes Gaga, Accidentally Broadcasts ‘Paparazzi’

Yesterday’s nationwide National Emergency Alert System test, the largest of it’s kind, had it’s fair share of errors. Among the many issues faced during the test were late starts, television broadcasting malfunctions and get this, Lady Gaga’s ‘Paparazzi’ blaring during the television interruption.

Now we are big Gaga fans here at UB. Can you imagine if some catastrophic disaster was going down as Lady Gaga was blaring across the airwaves? Gay men and women would be helpless to the songbird’s power and chances are we would lose all composure and break out into dance.

In all seriousness, the first test had a few bumps in the road. Should we expect some ‘Bad Romance’ next go round? Is a natural disaster alert system in the works with severity based on hit single? Will we hear ‘Pokerface’ in the event of a hurricane? ‘Edge of Glory’ during an earthquake?

What song do you want to hear during the next natural disaster?
