Britney Spears Pays Tribute to Marilyn Manson in Unseen Sweet Dreams Video

Britney Spears! Marilyn Manson! The Eurythmics! Masks! Choreography by Slimey, the worm from Sesame Street! No offense Brit, but we can totally see how this unused concert interstitial hit the cutting room floor.

Britney looks great, sure, but nothing happens in this video besides lots and lots and lots of wiggling and slinking around.

Nobody sharing this video seems to know for which tour this video was shot. I’ve seen Femme Fatale and Circus offered as suggestions, but I’m pretty sure we haven’t seen Britney’s body look this slender since way back during The Onyx Hotel Tour, when Sean Preston and Jayden James were still just tadpoles doing laps in Kevin Federline’s scrotum prepping for the first and second annual Britney Spears’ Uterine 10K swim.

In any case, which iconic star has got the better moves here – Britney or Slimey? Gosh, do we have to choose? Yes.

That whole paragraph was just a hot mess. But I do agree with you that this, “tribute” Britney Spears did was more of a joke and an obvious indicator she’s running out of ideas and I can’t stand Lady Gaga. Though most of the industry seems to be running out of ideas and is just regurgitating bullshit to trick us into thinking it’s good and original. Artists rip off or badly cover other artists all the time more than ever now unfortunately. It’s pretty sad.

Who said it was a tribute? It was a segue piece used during the Circus tour. She never seemed like she was paying tribute. It was shot and edited to play as an interlude during the concert. Dramaaatic. . .
