Every single time I see an ad or PSA coming out of another country toting marriage equality with such depth, realness, and a smoking hot protagonist I’m left wondering why America can’t quite step up to the plate and knock a few of these out of the park.

The USA’s version of these usually consists of older couples who have spent 30 or 40 years together quietly speaking about their lives together. That perspective is valid, but surely this video from Get Up! Action for Australia gets the job done with more punch.

If the medium is the message, then the message here is that same-sex couples experience the same exhilarating highs and devastating lows as heterosexual couples – only we’re just wildly more attractive.

From a day at the beach together to the final bedside moments of a mother’s life and all the way back around to the moment he pops the question, take a moment to share this couple’s wild ride together.

That cheeseball smile on your face? That’s good. We can work with that!
