MyAcceptance.org is an awesome new project which uses captivating imagery to share LGBT people’s stories. The photos are styled in a way that demonstrates the subject’s journey through life. In addition to issues pertaining to coming out, other issues such as racism and sexism are addressed.
In addition to beautiful images and stories, there is a section on the site where people can share their stories of facing homophobia. The site hopes to eventually have enough images and stories which can be compiled into a book.
With all the recent teen suicides and bullying, MyAcceptance.org is creating a venue where LGBT teens can look for inspiration. Head on over and check them out. You might even be the next photo essay!
