Presenting for your listening pleasure/incessant mocking, Super Grace.

Don’t even worry about who I is. I’m like Prophets 31, in Christ I’m satisfied, but…Christian boy has got my heartbeat running away…”

Thanks for watching “Super Grace,” a humorous, somewhat exaggerated commentary about the single Christian girl’s struggle to appreciate the wonderful Christian men in her life while still guarding her heart and waiting patiently upon the Lord inspired by Nikki Minaj’s “Super Bass.”

The song was originally written and performed for “Skit Night 2011,” a homecoming event for the Christian Greek organizations at the University of Florida. The song ended up winning first place, making it an award-winning parody. And of course the obvious reaction to the song’s success at Skit Night was to record it and make a music video. So that’s what you see here…

We get that this is at least partially satirical, but the line about the “true religion” still gives us the creeps. Eek.

Nevertheless, congrats on the win.

I could only stomache 40 seconds worth. I try my hardest to respect all religions and faiths equally, but Christians constantly put themselves on a higher tier than the rest by claiming to be the “true religion”. I’ve even had a Christian have the audacity to tell me that Christianity isn’t a religion, it’s “the factual belief in Jesus Christ, and nothing else compares”. All I have to say in response is “love thy neighbours as thyself”

Why hasn’t christian music been any good since the renaissance? The mentality back then was a much more sound one; God prefers quality over quantity of his name being mentioned (e.g. His rejection of Cain’s offering). Yet when I hear modern christian music, it’s terrible compositions by awful artists who are just good at sticking His name in every sentence.
