this goes to show you the brain washing that these soldiers must endure. It is well known that in order to justify killing another man, he must be perceived as the scum of the earth, therefore by extension these soldiers feel justified in what they are doing based on what had been drilled into their minds. I feel so sorry for these men, for they may not be able to forgive themselves when finally returned to US soil.

And we wonder why the rest of the world hates America.

Wow. I agree with James. This truly does show a horrible side of the military and things similar to this are the reasons other countries think negatively of the United States.

It’s the Taliban. It’s the enemy. What is the big deal? You don’t think that if it were 3 dead American soldiers laying there that 4 Taliban members wouldn’t be doing the same thing? I don’t get it. They are you enemy when alive. Dead, they are no longer a threat. This was unnecessary. And so what if the Taliban would do something equally disgraceful? That doesn’t justify US doing it.

as much as i think this is wrong i can’t see why everyone is so outraged.. the taliban cut of peoples heads and string the bodies up for people to see..now thats what i call a lack of respect… yes pissing on those guys is completely wrong but it’s nowhere near as bad as what the taliban do to them…

in all honestly, i’m not suprised, not in that snarky ‘they’re all warmongers’ kind of not suprised, but in that “they’re 18 year olds with pent up rage and mixed emotions over the repeated trauma of having to kill and be killed day in and day out, and watch their friends die and be injured before their eyes” not suprised. This is shocking TO US, but really, it’s war, it’s not ‘excusable’ but this is an incident that shouldn’t have happened but i’m sure has happened before on many sides of many wars. c’mon guys.

I am a strong supporter of the military, and i actually just swore into the Air Force yesterday, but i will say this, and sorry to any people that i may offend, but i believe that there must be something mentally wrong with you in order for you to be a marine. because i know for a fact that nobody in the Air Force would do this if they had the chance to. Then again once we are over there in Afghanistan people do things they wouldn’t do. and i’m sure that currently these men are tasting the poison that they have chosen.

       I guess Panetta and those wise sages in the White House forgot how many heads were chopped off by those poor enemies of ours. I guess they forgot that we are in a war and our enemy is more vicious and brutal than anyone can imagine. They kill their own woman and children let alone anyone else that doesn’t agreed with their ideology.      From my perspective, being a 100% disabled marine Vietnam veteran, one could look back at the Japanese of the old school who urinated on the living as well as the dead to make a point that the enemy is not to be given any respect. As the old saying goes, “ it’s better to be pissed off than pissed on”. If our enemies don’t like what happens to them after they are killed, then maybe they should think twice about fighting us. I put this on an FB post from a friend’s discussion: OK, I’ve thought about this one when I heard it on the news. Normally I’m like “who cares”, but I thought about this one. So my thing is: If you’re going to do something stupid, even though you may possibly get in trouble for, than you shouldn’t tape it! I guess they didn’t hear about the whole Guantanamo Bay incident.. or hear scandalous news about people and sex tapes. I frankly don’t care if they pissed on some dead guys, but they were dumb for letting it be taped. And really .. what’s the point of pissing on them? What is that going to prove other than them being a**holes? Sure, they’ve been in war and they’ve seen some really gruesome things and been through hell. But what does this prove? Nothing. Other than getting the other party mad at us, and they do more than just piss on dead guys. They blow shit up and kill people. So why piss them off more, so they can blow more shit up .. just because four of our guys decided it was funny to piss on some of their dead guys. I respect our men and women in the service. I’m proud to have an father who is a Veteran. But they’ve chosen this as a profession to serve their country and they’ve gone and given themselves and their country a bad rep. When you represent a business, you do it with the utmost respect and dignity for yourself and the business so that way other businesses want to work with you. But when you do something childish and down right dumb, then others don’t want to do business with you at all; or will hesitate to put their name and good standings beside yours. So, this is one of those things: Think before you act.

Maybe I’m a horrible person too, but I don’t think this is that big a deal.  In the grand scheme of things it is a minor transgression against some of the worst people out there.  If they need to burn off a little stress or dehumanize their enemy, then that’s what needs to happen.

I think making a big deal out of this will make us look weak in front of the enemy and encourage more attacks.  Call it psychological warfare if need to.

But the marines shouldn’t get more than a stern talking to.

Considering what the Taliban does to women, gays, and anyone not perfectly muslim, I’d say peeing on them was hardly enough. They should also have burned a couple of Korans, doused them in bacon grease, and sprinkled them with lots of dog saliva. Then buried them and built a school on top of the grave. Seriously, the Taliban is not a group of nice people folks. They’d kill me, you, and pretty much everyone they can get their hands on, several times over, just for being different and for daring to disagree with them. And what would I do to them? I’d laugh and suggest an education, a shower, and a trim.

And this is supposed to be an issue?  Do you all forget that the Taliban executed people for the horrible crime of being homosexual?  Do you all forget that they beat & tortured women for the horrible crime of being out on the street without a male member of their family?  I actually would LOVE to give these men medals!!!

Whether they kill gay people, straight people, men, women, children…It’s all the same…they’re killing (key word alert)…PEOPLE! 

And as much as it may pain your arrogant mind to comprehend, they are (key word again) PEOPLE!
Yes, they are the enemy, but they are dead… NO LONGER A THREAT! These actions, aside from being morally wrong, are nonetheless, Un-American! Shame on these so called “soldiers” for representing our country this way.
