Christian Classmates Threaten Girl with Eternal Rape in Hell for Removing Prayer from School

I think the comments made just show other people’s stupidity.  You should praise this girl for her being brave enough to stand against others to uphold our rights.  Jessica you are a wonderful girl don’t let the hate get to you just remember the rule of 3.

Wow, just wow.  A public school is not a church.  And I hate when certain Christians think that anything NOT Christian is automatically atheist? What if that prayer made any Jewish, Muslim, or Hindu students feel uncomfortable?  If you want your kids going to a school that encourages prayer, send them to a Christian school!  I remember in my elementary school in 6th grade we had to learn a bunch of songs for a recital and our teacher was rather religious.  She had us learn a bunch of hymns, singing about how God is our father etc… my atheist parents wrote a very polite note requesting I didn’t have to sing the songs.  It caused a HUGE uproar…from just the teacher.
“When I take over the world I’m going to do a holocaust to all the atheists.”  This is the most horrible quote, in my opinion.  I do not hate Christians or Christianity.  I am however offended by those that use their so called “spirituality” to fuel hate and closed mindedness.  We don’t want you to stop being Christian.  We just want you to stop forcing us to take part in it jeez!

HOLY CRAP the venom!  It surprises me every single day how so many people can carry such rage in their hearts!  Very “christian” of you, brother, to wish and even threaten physical harm on someone.  Man, people really should actually *read* that Bible instead of just spewing shit in its defense.  This makes me sick.

But good on her.  I hope and wish for her safety.  What a brave and amazing girl.  And good on that judge!  I loved his quote about tradition being “a murky and dangerous bog.”  It’s so true, and it IS so dangerous.  

As a Christian I condemn these hateful remarks, and they are in no way Christian. Where are the principles of “love your neighbor as yourself” or “love your enemy” or “Do to others as you would have them do to you?”. As Christ himself said, many will claim to follow him but Christ will reply, “I never knew you.”

No one knows what happens when you die. Christians need to get over themselves.

If you wish for someone to get raped or killed, what kind of person are you then? I belive just as jessica, that you should seperate school from religion. Theese people has plenty of time after school, praying and reading their bible at home. But i guess it is hard to find time to  pray and be reading the bible when you are busy cursing and wishing people ill on FB.

Dont let some ppls views and the way talk stereotype a religion..i am christian but i am  not my religion. i don’t agree with what these threats at stating at all.  I have a relationship with my savior and wouldn’t defend my religion but i would defend my God. They are so young and don’t understand alot. i pray that they will be opened minded and forgiving. 

I will never understand how so many who consider themselves devout “Christians” can say things like this and not see where their actions are in DIRECT opposition to the works of Jesus and his teachings.  Horrible, vile hypocrites with foul mouths and even more foul thoughts and actions.

You obviously missed the part about the religious-themed banner hanging in a public -ie, government funded- school. Thus, this is unconstitutional, breaking the separation of church and state. If something is government funded it is considered as part of the state in said “church and state”. If this was a privately funded school, Jessica would have had no case.

Also, you have not properly read your history books. Though several -not all- of the founding fathers were of the Christian religion, they did not write the constitution with Christianity in mind, rather a safe place for freedom from religious persecution. Thus, the constitution itself, despite the usurpation you declare, is not designed to promote Christianity as you claim.

LOL this comes to show that most Christians are really stupid. So stupid that they contradict their “christian” beliefs. But that is the world we live in. These kids should be prosecuted for those violent threats. 

To all those saying “those are not true christians” “true christians would not act like that” There are some 38000 denominations of christianity all created by humans that wanted to cherry pick their supposed holy book in different ways.  So please, who are the “true christians”?

She is gutsy, beautiful, and correct in taking the fight to those so-called Christians. They’re the ones who started the fight by injecting their hallucinations on the rest of us in public schools. Learn the constitution, idiots. It is called the Separation Clause/ First Amendment.

It always amazes me whenever the “so-called” faithful fundamentalist Christians resort to this kind of vitriol whenever someone doesn’t agree with their “religious” (and believe me, I use that word as disparagingly as I can, in their cases) views.  God and Jesus were about love, not hate, and that is *all* these ignorant fools are displaying!  And I have *no doubt* that they learned this type of behavior from their parents. What HYPOCRITES!!!!

The bible has it written (and I quote):  “Judge not, that ye be not judged.”  And ‘scuse me, but ain’t one single person living today (or in the past) that’s perfect in act and deed; unlike Jesus.  So, I’ll thank you not to judge me or anyone else.  God is the *only* one with the *right* to judge me!!!

It always amazes me that there is so much hate and vitriol being spewed whenever someone or something like this goes against other peoples’ views, faith, etc.  I do not agree with the fundamentalist views of these “so-called” Christians that could spew such vile things about someone who stood up for what they believe in. 

And whether or not you believe in God/Jesus or not, that is your right.  That is the great thing about the First Amendment: it allows us to express ourselves however we choose to.  We should all use care when using the brush with which we paint others.  Nobody is perfect.

I am searching for my faith, though I do identify myself as a Christian, but I try to avoid judging others, because I’m too busy worrying about my own sins, to point them out to others.  Thanks.

The classmates threatening her are NOT Christians, they are hypocrites who know nothing of the judgmental bile they’re spewing. They do not deserve the title “Christian”. True Christians are tolerant, compassionate, and know that Jesus would not approve of the hate they’re preaching.

To quote something my mom said to me repeatedly when I was a whiny teen: “Pull up your big girl panties and get over it!” 

What do these horrible threats to the girl reveal?  A very hate-filled group of children.  It’s appalling that the parents allow this to happen, but aren’t they the models for this behavior?  Christians arre very scary to me.

I am sending a check to Jessica’s family for her college tuition.  We will need people like her in the future for our country.   Such a brave person to stand in front of evil and vile, to take a stand for what she believes in the face of such wicked threats by cowards and hypocrites., who prove themselves boring, weak, and dangerous.  Bravo Jessica from a guy who is nine miles from the Iranian Border in the Khara Khum desert who undertsands what true Constitutional values are, and witnesses first hand what happens to a country that does not separate church and state.

On The Skeptic Tank ( http://www.SkepticTank.Org/ ) we used to maintain archives of the daily news coverage of child rape by Christian clergy, so much so that eventually that was *all* that The Skeptic Tank volunteers were doing. At some point we gave it up as pointless, there is such epidemic, pandemic rape of children within Christianity that archiving each report was a full-time, pointless effort. What a nightmare.

It’s also very telling that cult savages think that prayer has some how been removed from school. The fact is that any cult savage can play pretend with their sweaty quasi-homosexual dleusions, the fact that they can not force normal, educated, sane people to do likewise is what these hate filled savages do not like.

The interesting thing about this case is that it is actually not about religion or religion being thrust or forced upon people which in any religion is morally haphazard and wrong. It is about freedom of speech, constitutional rights in America and the values of the state being applied to its provision, the school. If you analyse this more you realise it is about the role of the state not over the school but over the use of the internet to do with this case at the school. The students who made those horrible threats and comments to Jessica are entitled, are they not, to say what they like?. Isn’t the banner a beautiful prayer or mission statement for the pupils? In Britain we say if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. This case may also be about Jessica’s relationship with her own past…now is that something that should take up all this attention and electricity across the world? I hope that she focuses on her study. If she is planning to become a lawyer, she just made a great start to her career.

I just want to say this. This whole thing is NOT about religion being right, wrong, good, or bad. It’s NOT about whether or not religion is a poison teaching kids to hate, or if it’s that everyone just need god in their live and all will be ok. What it IS about, is that a girl stood up for what WAS right. And what that was, was that in a public high school, legally and morally, there should not be any force of any religion. I dont care if she was an atheist, or a Jew, or a Satanist. She was made uncomfortable by a painting in her school, that had no right being there in the first place. I’m proud of her for what she did. Religion is something that should be practiced in your home, church, and day to day life, but within yourself. Sharing it with others is one thing, But forcing it upon others is not ok. You are within your rights to believe what you do, but so am I, and so is she. And she should feel comfortable going to school knowing that she can be who she is, and not have a believe that she does not follow shoved at her. I’m an atheist, my best friend is 7th day Adventist. I dont have a problem with religion, but I DO have a problem with it being forced on someone that doesn’t want it. I know that feeling all too well.   

Way to go, Jesus Freaks! those kids’ reactions to constitutional secularism just proves the point I’ve been trying to make that religion is dangerous and causes trouble. It’s illogical, teaches hatred for those who will not convert and conform to their faith, and teaches patriarchal misogyny (because God is totally male and hates women, according to the Bible). I only regret not taking such matters when i was in school against religious people. I think, instead, I’ll take it to the political arena.

Don’t these sad remnants of an earlier stage in human development always seem to know an curious amount about how God would react to the people they don’t like.  These people don’t have the slightest interest in religious tolerance, progression, or fixing the world’s problems.  They want to burn books and see intelligent brave young woman being tortured in hell for their bravery.  I just don’t think that’s the kinda thing Jesus would of approve of.  But it’s been a while since I read the Bible.  I guess love your neighbor and hate everyone and everything that doesn’t agree with your worldview.   America is the last nation in the free world that has a large conservative religious group of relevance, and they are our biggest embarassment on the world stage, and have been proven wrong in every last detail of their angry thoughts, that they just dont feel a need to acknowledge reality anymore, so they just make up onions for God, and go around predicting another day for the rapture, can you imagine a bunch of naked republicans floating in the sky.  This girl is the first brave Patriot we’ve seen in a while  and i wish we could help her get through this smoothly, like a ‘get out of salem free’ card.
