Every 7 minutes, a woman is raped. If this is some form of gift, Rick Santorum’s God is a Secret Santa of questionable value indeed.

ahh well either way the baby is half your family and half the family of the guy or woman that does it… so its likes i dont know im not saying we should ban abortions and trap people.. .but at the same time they are still humans… and rape is desturbing but with support from family and people not judgeing the victim i would imagine it helps alot

obviously you have never been raped before….although i believe a woman has a right to choose…seeing as i am one….i do believe that there are reasons a person shouldnt…but again my beliefs not theirs….but to force a woman to carry a child of the man that raped her is a cruel psychological torture….no amount of support is going to really help with that….she would be carrying around a living breathing reminder of a day/night she wished had never happened….never mind to say if she went on carried it to term and kept it because her “support” convinced her too…and she has to look at this child and see the face of her rapist….im not saying that every victim of rape would feel that way because we all know its not the fault of the child nor is it really the fault of the victim….

Actually no, they are not “still humans”. They are a cluster of self-replicating cells with the potential to become a human. Big difference. An acorn is not a tree, a spore is not a mushroom. And how is it good for anyone involved if the victim has a daily reminder of the person they probably hate the most in the entire world and whom the child will most likely grow up bearing a rather strong resemblance to? But I forget, the pro-lifers only care while it’s still in the womb. Once its out, everyone’s on their own. And they so love to claim that’s not the case, but actions have always spoken louder than words.

Well, by following your logic, then women who have given birth to children due to rape should sue the rapist for child support!!!! Geez. Whatever.

I can’t believe we’re still having this discussion after so many years of Roe v. Wade. I’m a 60 yr old woman…rape survivor. My body is not of public dissemination. It’s my body. If I want to have a baby…my choice…If I don’t…again, my choice. I am not a second class citizen, I am not a man’s property. It’s up to me to decide. Had I gotten pregnant by my rapist, I would have aborted it. No way would I subject myself to nine months of reliving that night. You can be pro-life and pro-choice at the same time. It’s nobody’s decision but the woman’s. And until the Christian Taliban finally realizes that they have no right to tell anybody else what to do…we’ll have this discussion!

To be totally honest this guy scares the shit out of me. All his crazy is just not good for *ANYONE*! As far as I’m concerned no man or woman has any right or say over my body and I’m appalled that anyone thinks they do. Apparently being apart of America now means that my rights are up for popular opinion vote.. There goes the whole home of the free thing….
