Christians Urged to Boycott Starbucks Over Gay Marriage Support
It is an exciting day here in Washington State with legislature legalizing gay marriage with a 28-21 vote yesterday. Corporations in WA had a huge impact on this exciting event. In the past few weeks companies such as Starbucks, Microsoft, Amazon and many more have spoken out in favor of same sex marriage.
In a message published online Pastor Steven Andrew of USA Christian Ministries has suggested that all Christians boycott the purchase of Starbucks products in order to protest their support of the new gay marriage law in Washington.
Pastor Andrew suggests that Starbucks could lose 80% of it’s business if Christians simply switched back to serving Folgers Crystals during church related events. He also goes on to praise the rise in popularity of mega-douche Rick Santorum as a sign that the Christian majority in America is standing up against ‘homosexual laws’.
Sounds to me like math and sociology weren’t required curriculum for Pastor Andrew when he was studying at Bible College.
What do you guys think? Does God hate Starbucks or bigots more? Or none of the above? Hey, since Christians are calling for a boycott of Starbucks, should we call for a boycott of Christians?
