The seaweed is always greener in somebody else’s lake. Poor Ariel looks like she might have been whacked over the head with an oar or something. Where were Sebastian and Flounder?

Looks like foul play next led to the demise of Princess Jasmine.

Yeah its not clear in all these pictures that something violent/horrible has taken place. Not all of them even look dead. Like ariel just looked like she was resting on the beach. If not decomposing faces then maybe at the very least a little blood or someone standing over them or a visible wound. Something.

Red looks like she got drunk and fell over. Someone threw an apple at Snow White, with ferocious force. Alice is sad cause she just killed a rabbit. Aurora looks like she got gang raped. Cinderella fell down the stairs. Ariel is a murder victim. Jasmine sniffed the blue gas from the lamp. Belle got raped. Pocahontas is part of the Hills Have Eyes.

I like sleeping beauty with the pine freshner, because in the grimm story she had to be kissed by someone who truly loved her, and if not in time she would grow old and decompose. Would have been better if they showed a decrepit corpse, each ha their ways of death. Grimm stories were supposed to teach you a lesson.

I like the emptiness of the images. I was kind of upset that Pocahontas had another person because then the threat was obvious. Aurora was my favorite.

This is sickening. I am not a Disney Princess fan or anything, but this is depicting violence against women with whimsy and should be ignored/admonished. Why is it still ok to depict women in this way? If these was a photo series of other oppressed groups like dead african americans, or dead homosexuals it wouldn’t be trendy or cool. Or visually stunning. Try to think more critically about what you’re looking at people.

I agree. There are a multitude of ways to present Disney Princess in a modern context, but again and again when people want to reinterpret them it’s always either pornifying or visiting extreme violence upon them. Either people have no imagination, or they have some intense hatred going on. Don’t get me wrong, I hate what they stand for, but expressing that through images that are clearly depictions of murder/rape/abduction is the exact opposite way to go.
