A few weeks back Madonna performed during the Superbowl halftime show. Reviews ranged from brilliant to ‘over the hill’ which kinda bothered me. Even on the Unicorn Booty facebook page people were making a lot of negative, ageist, sexist comments about Miss M. Calling her old, past her prime, a bag of bones… I’m sorry, I have to call BS. Madonna wrote the book on diva. She was raising money for AIDS charities and marching in gay pride parades years before anyone else was. Whether you like her music, her movies, her style or her charity work you cannot deny that the woman has accomplished a ton in her over 20 years in the industry.
If you have ever had the pleasure of seeing Madonna perform, you realize that this woman lives, breathes, eats, sleeps and poops pop music. I use to jokingly say she sold her soul to the devil to be the most entertaining woman in the world.
