SEARS Pulls Violent Sexual Assault T-Shirts Because, Well, You Know

Sears is facing some much-deserved criticism today for selling t-shirts mocking violence against women. T-shirts reading “Don’t make me kick you in the fallopian tubes,” “Nice girls don’t use pepper spray” and “I heart butt plugs” have all been pulled today after shoppers threw fit on Twitter.

Wait, the butt plugs shirt was pulled? Let’s not do anything crazy now!

Sears shopper Carol puts it best in this message to the retailer:

Dear Sears,

“Don’t make me kick you in the birth canal”? “Don’t make me kick you in the fallopian tubes”? “Nice girls don’t use pepper spray”? In children’s sizes? Are you kidding me?

How about these instead: “Sears: Where American Misogynists Shop” Or “Don’t make me kick you in your slim profit margin”

Yikes. Sears may have pulled the t-shirts from its website today, but they are still available on Amazon. Scoop these collectors items up while you have a chance, jerks of the world!

I don’t know, I thought they were kind of comical. Jokingly I’ve threaten to kick someone in the ovaries before. I mean, obviously I would never do it (Not sure how I would get my foot near there), but saying “Don’t make me kick you in the vagina” just doesn’t seem right.

The only issue I saw in them was being in children sizes! What’s the big deal otherwise? So some people like buttplugs, who cares! If they want to buy such a shirt and wear it proudly, more power to them. Just because I do not want one, does not mean I have a right to tell someone else they should not wear it

I mean its not something I would think of Sears selling maybe Spencer’s or some other novelty shop. Personally it is kinda bizarre it was found at Sears but if I saw it in a novelty shop I would think it was kinda humorous and might buy it. Would I wear it out in public maybe it would depend on the shirt. I would not wear one that read ” I love butt plugs” in public or at home for any reason. The fact they were in kids sizes is just crazy I mean I would never ever let my kid wear a shirt like that.

I am not an ultra conservative. I find my views more on the progressive side. But minimizing violence to women ? I Do have a huge problem with that. According to Rush its because I am an educated single white female, or, his more endearing term, I’m a feminazi.
