The little minxes as Helltek Homes are raising eyebrows with an ad featuring a gay couple alongside some questionable captioning about going to hell in unmistakable bright red text.

We think it’s quite clever, but we have to ask, do you agree?

Where was this billboard shown? I think that different regions’ politics and subcultures would affect how you’re meant to read it.

I think its very risky I know its a play on words, as the company is called Helltek and the and says “Hell” , they could have used tell him to go to “Hell__(space)__tek”. So it should read got to “Hell Tek”. Go to Hell is sorta pushing it. Funny thing is when I looked at the logo thing at the bottom of the ad quickly I read “f_cker(-add a u) company”

I agree. ”Go to hell” is a term that people use toward one another to express disdain. I don’t see the religious connection until someone pointed it out. We can;t be so touchy about everything, or it works against our cause.

in a way i think its cute…and its nice to see a billboard advertising a product including a gay couple…though i can see some people taking it the wrong way…

It’s posted in bright red letters because that is part of their logo. I find nothing offensive. People need to calm the hell down! I’m sure they have probably done many ads of similarity with straight couples.

I never even thought of the gay-hell thing. It’s nice to see a same-sex couple in an ad that isn’t for something specifically LGBT-related, even one as cheesy as this.

At first I read it as more of “you’re gay so you’re going to hell”. While the add is clever, two gay guys and the word HELL being the most visable…not so crazy bout it.
