No, you’re not reading the script of a porno. This is the dirty, dirty actual transcript of Michael Phelps’ new commercial for Head & Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo.

Who knew that a flake-free scalp could cause such a stirring in our loins? Oh, and that Speedo sure doesn’t hurt either.

Hmm. We’re beginning to wonder if there might be some connection with Phelps hawking sexytime shower accouterments and the Manchester Shower-Semen Monster wreaking havoc on sewers across the pond.

I have not yet forgotten that Phelps dated former Miss California Carrie Prejean. When asked about her gay marriage controversy, he refused to comment, and I do not believe he has rendered his opinion on gay rights to this day. It is my personal opinion that silence is complicity. He’s been dating someone else for at least two years and still has not disavowed Ms. Prejean’s stated opinions or post-debacle anti-gay-marriage crusade. Mr. Phelp’s is certainly entitled to his own opinion, and he gets to choose whether he wants to express that or not. As for me, I think I’ll probably be a lot less interested in Phelp’s performance at the next Olympics.
