Miss Universe Canada Pageant Accepts Trans Contestant Jenna Talackova

Jenna Talackova: Beauty queen

The Donald Trump-owned Miss Universe franchise has accepted its first trans pageant contestant, 23-year-old Jenna Talackova.

The 6’1″ blond underwent sexual reassignment surgery in 2010 after years of hormone therapy which began when she was 14.

Under Canadian law, Jenna is legally a woman, and thus legally able to participate in the beauty queen competition. Not that Trump or anyone else is even suggesting she be barred from participating. The Apprentice firer-in-chief may have a pathetic stance on LGBT rights, but he knows a ratings gold money-maker when he sees one. Or sees her, in this case.

You can get to know Jenna a bit better in this clip from the 2010 Miss International Queen pageant in Pattaya, Thailand. She shows up around the 8:00 mark.

Watch in horror as the host literally asks every single offensive question he possibly can think of. Jenna, to her credit, giggles uncomfortably instead of punching him in his face.

I’m going to give the guy a teeny tiny bit of credit and say that it didn’t seem to me that he was attempting to be offensive or even rude, just very, very uneducated. He definitely should have been more educated before discussing a topic like this on-camera. He seemed nervous to me, and may have been trying to hard to be funny about it as a defense mechanism against his nervousness. These ladies did phenomenally well in answering his questions and showing their poise! (Although I’ll admit, if he came up and pretended to ‘knock’ on my breasts, he’d be leaving with a broken hand…)

I feel even if he hadn’t been doing a piece on transgender women at the pageant he would have been a complete douche! Example: asking Mini if her breasts were real by pointing/touching them?? and Knocking on Jenna’s breasts?? What. The. What.

Ignoring the negativity altogether Jenna is absolutely gorgeous! I have a feeling, despite the “other” buzz about her, she’ll go far. I’ve never been a fan, or supporter, of beauty pageants at all, but I might make an exception in this case. Best of luck.

Watching him made ME uncomfortable. Jenna is a gorgeous lady and took all his flack with such a charming grace. Although, his remark at the end about the “ladyboys” was enough to make me want to punch my screen. Who the hell sent this dickcheese loser to interview such beautiful women?

This is jenna talackova and i’m so thankful for your support on this topic! Unfortunately the MUC director has disqualified me ( Denis Davilla) because they say I am not natural born women (even though since I been conscious I have felt this way). Dear Jenna, I am sure that you were born as a natural born female when considering your brain sex. The 1991 Miss Teen USA has androgen insensitivity syndrome. Thus, she was born with XY chromosomes and also with testes and no uterus or Fallopian tubes. Genital appearence is only one criteria. I can understand that you may have noted that you were born as a female and also that you noted elsewhere that you were born male. The problem is that the rules do not stipulate which sex criteria are to be used. I hope ou get reinstated. Best wishes.
