Madonna and Deadmau5 Tweet and Make Up
Madonna’s recent drug comments at the Ultra Music Festival caused electro producer Deadmau5 to fly into a digi-rage, lashing out against the singer for her word choice. Always the classy (and artistic) one, Madonna tweeted the following image in response to Deadmau5’s comments:
The pair proceeded to publicly hash out their grievances via Twitter until a truce had been reached.
@deadmau5 Communication is always best. You should have called me first,we could have cleared it up “privately.” See you on the road.

I’m glad these kids decided to play nice, but I’m still curious about the reason this Molly girl deserves a song. What’s wrong with Susan, or Maria, or Caroline?
DJ/Producer Cedric Gervais has come to Madonna’s defense, saying that the song isn’t about drugs at all. It is, in fact, about a girl named Molly who had such an effect on him that he had to write a song about her. Hmmm…
If that’s about a girl named Molly then I’m voting for Rick Santorum. Please don’t kid a kidder, my friends.
This whole ordeal reminds me of some after school PSA telling us that we don’t need drugs to be cool. I would rather Madonna say she was poking fun at the obvious drug use in front of her, instead of pretending we can’t understand the double entendre. Trust me, we understand.
I love you, Madonna, but don’t talk to us like we’re stupid. If you insist on using cheesy drug references, why not just own it? Plus, do you really think a giant crowd of extremely… happy Ultra Music Festival attendees understands a reference to a song that’s not even fully released yet?
Are you sick of hearing about this?
