The Sims 3 Goes Gay with Same-Sex Soldier Smooch Commercial

Everyone’s favorite virtual reality timesuck that nobody actually plays anymore, The Sims, is back with a new installment that’s so 2012.

The Twilightization, American Idolization and DADT Repealization of the game that spawned a million impostors is evident in vampires, microphones and yes, even a same-sex soldier smooch in the latest commercial for the franchise.

Is going gay enough of an incentive for you to pick up the game that most of you dropped a decade ago? And just how long until Christians attack the game for it’s sinister demonic undertones?

We mean the gay soldiers, not the vampires, obviously!

You could be gay in all of the Sims games. You couldn’t marry in the first one. In the second one you could have “joined unions”, and in the 3rd one you can actually get married. They even allow you to call an adoption center and get a baby, which is much easier then in the previous games.

I remember marrying two same-sex sims in the second one. Never have I heard of the “joined unions” in Sims.

lol, I can assure you I am not in the slightest bi. I am a Kinsey 6 and if there was a 7 I’d be that. I never went through a phase dating women and have never even kissed a girl, much less had a desire to do so. Using absolutes just makes you look kinda stupid.

Um. . . The Sims 3 came out a few years ago. No, really, it did. This commercial is there to, you know, keep advertising the product that has new expansion packs released at least once every 6-8 months and the interesting scenarios you can do with it.

Dropped a decade ago, speak for yourself. We sims games are still very strong, and you could have had a homosexual or bisexual relations since the very first game. Nothing new, but as for the commercial. Well EA, i’ll give you kudos for that, but I still hate you. Evil corporation ruining other game franchises.

This isn’t exactly new, UB. Gay marriage was fully (virtually) realized when they originally released The Sims 3, with similar options in the previous games.. And they can do a lot more then that, full on make outs and censured “woohooing” are also available actions.

By the way, I still play this game regularly.

I’m still playing Sims 2 because they’re still making Sims 3 expansions, which means they’re all still super expensive. EA, hurry up and make another Complete Collection already!

I still play this game daily It’s one of the only games that for some reason I can just play forever!
