Rick Santorum Suspends Presidential Campaign. Gays, Women, Minorities Rejoice
The race for the GOP presidential nomination is over. After an early morning phone call conceding defeat to Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum announced to the public that he would be suspending his campaign for the Republican Presidential nomination. Citing family reasons, Santorum made his announcement surrounded by his family in Gettysberg, PA.
So there you have it America, it will be Mitt Romney running against Barack Obama in November for the office of President.
Santorum is an outspoken opponent of gay rights, healthcare, women’s health, abortion and common sense. He made headlines last year when he entertained a question from an openly gay soldier serving in Iraq about ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ through an ocean of boos. The national media later attacked him for his unfazed response while an active member of the military was being disrespected.
Santorum chose to use the word “suspend” when discussing his campaign. He will not officially “terminate” it until it is subjected to a Trans-Vaginal Ultrasound where he will be forced to view the imagery and listen to its heartbeat. Stay classy Rick!
