If This Photo Doesn’t Give You Hope, Nothing Will

You know, even though we’ve made strides in our fight for equality, it can sometimes all get lost in the sea of negativity coming at us from every which way. We’ve overcome DADT, and gotten marriage legalized in a handful of states. But for every Rosie O’Donnell, we have a Kirk Cameron.

When you’ve got people telling you that you’re destructive to so many aspects of society, sometimes it feels like you’ve got nobody that supports your cause. Unfortunately, in this day and age, people with the most radical, inane opinions are the ones that are heard the most clearly, and thus get the most attention.

But never fear, beleaguered homos! Because we do have allies, and even though they may not get as much airtime as NOM or whoever’s got beef with us this week, they exist! And for that, we love them!

I stumbled upon this photo earlier today, and it gave me hope. I hope it can do the same for you guys.

So thank you, distinguished older couple, for your support! We think you’re both adorable!
