The Vatican has launched a crackdown on the umbrella group that represents most of America’s 55,000 Catholic nuns, saying that the group was not speaking out strongly enough against gay marriage, abortion and women’s ordination.

Speaking as the foster son of an incredible woman with two nuns for sisters and a brother who is a priest, I’d just like to say, “HA!” Sister Betty and her BFF Sister Joan not only love and adore my partner Nick and I, but they even gave us a blanket last year for Christmas.

You know, for our bed where we sleep together. When we’re not smooching, that is!

The Vatican fighting to crack down on women in Catholic service who believe in the dignity of their own gender is a fight that the Vatican is going to lose. Good luck with that!
