Mitt Romney’s devolving stance on equality, Colorado’s kamikaze civil unions dismissal, and even Dick Cheney and George W. Bush’s endorsement of marriage rights and civil unions civil unions respectively are all covered in her thorough broadcast covering the historic day.

ummm hello….its an election year…this also comes less than one week after Biden did an interview in which he stated that while he himself was for gay rights and gay marriage, Obama and his administration were not. So now all of the sudden he comes out in favor of the subject. Does no one else see this as preaching to get the gay vote?

Actually, Obama’s advisor(s) revealed to Politico that he had already decided to endorse same-sex marriage months ago and was timing when to openly acknowledge it. Biden’s and Duncan’s support only made him endorse earlier than he would have liked. Either way, it was going to happen.

Did you watch the video? President Obama has always been gay friendly, and taking away from this is silly. He is the first SITTING President to ever say such things, it’s HUGE. Don’t take away from that.

because DOMA is still law. whether or not he came out for gay marriage would not have automatically make gay marriage legal in the rest of the world.

And long ago he ordered his Attorney General’s office to STOP defending DOMA in court.

He very well might. Barney Frank made an interesting counter-argument on that episode of the Maddow Show, however, that he doesn’t think this endorsement will impact Obama much one way or the other because same-sex marriage is a singular deciding issue for many voters, and that the anti same-sex marriage base would vote against him anyway.
I still think that, as brave and wonderful as Obama’s endorsement is, will negatively impact him in some swing and “battleground” states. I guess we’ll see.

He also singed several fascist pieces of legislature such as the NDAA, ACTA Treaty, said he would pass CISPA, passed a bill banning protesters from protesting near government officals and politicians with the chance of one year incarceration and the discretion of the politician or government official, the approval of unmanned and armed robotic drones spying on the American people by 2013…yep I believe everything Obama says….especially in an election year.
