Unwed, Teen Mother Bristol Palin Lectures Obama on Raising His Children

In response to President Obama’s remarks that daughters Sasha and Malia’s friends with same-sex parents helped him in part to finally evolve on the issue of same-sex marriage, Bristol Palin is chastising the president on parenting his children incorrectly.

Yes, that Bristol Palin. The unwed, teen mother who faked an engagement to her baby daddy Levi for publicity, only to have the whole thing blow up in her face when he got a second young woman pregnant.

The same Bristol Palin that has cashed checks for allowing her baby to be photographed by US Weekly and InTouch Magazine. The same Bristol Palin that, in lieu of getting an actual job to support her child, filmed and shopped around a failed reality television show.

The same Bristol Palin that refuses to allow her child’s father to be a part of his life, even after inferring that her first time having sex was the result of rape before later clarifying that she was fully complicit.

That Bristol Palin is telling Obama he’s raising his daughters wrong.

While it’s great to listen to your kids’ ideas, there’s also a time when dads simply need to be dads. In this case, it would’ve been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her friends parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage. Or that – as great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.

No, bastard is not a horrible word, it just means a child born out of wedlock. When you use Bastard as a bad word its really being used as slang. In this reference it is clear what the meaning is and is therefore perfectly acceptable.

Actually, Foust is right. The original “insult” of bastard, many many years ago, was meant to suggest one’s mother was a slut, because she had one/one (“one” usally meaning men) were conceived out of wedlock. So in this case, Sarah Palin’s kid IS a bastard, because his mother’s a ho bag(same with his gramma… but for different reasons). ^_^

do you know what goes on behind closed doors? do you see her raise her child? do you know how she is as a mother? ya’ll are basing her skills as a mother solely on one horrible comment. she hasent had the best past, shes made mistakes (dont sit there and act like you havent) , yes she is refusing her ex to see the baby, do you know why? how do you know she doesnt have a damn good reason he cant see her baby? do not base stuff you read in magaines on how someone is as a parent. its judgemental, and i thought everyone here was against people who judge. ya’ll are no better than anybody else. you do not know her you only know what you see on tv and what you read on the internet and in magazines.

That’s how I feel. I would actually subscribe to her blog, just for the laughs, except I’m afraid someone would find out. Maybe I could just look over the shoulder of someone whose laptop already has bookmarks for sites devoted to neo Nazi’s, pen pals for serial killers, and ALL the “Housewife” shows. How would she know about fathers shaping their kids world view if she won’t even let her own child see his/her own father. I don’t care about her so I’m not sure if her baby is a boy or a girl/ PAH!

“We know that kids in general grow up better in a mother/father home.” Really? Do we REALLY know that? There’s a slap in the face not only to every same-sex couple working their tails off to raise their kids in a hostile world, but to every single parent who made sacrifice after sacrifice to raise their children, as well. Maybe she, as a single parent, should think about that.

I doubt that she’d know; she is definitely not one of the single parents who’ve made sacrifices. She’s the worst possible spokeswoman for abstinence, because what pregnant teenager ever had it better than she did? If she’d been just the average, ordinary virgin-til-her-wedding day she’s now touting as the ideal, no one would ever have heard of her.

Wow, okay, I’m sorry but an unwed teen mother saying a child needs both a mother and father, when the father of her child isn’t involved in said child’s life? Really? REALLY????? WOW! I came from a single parent home, with my mother doing all she could to raise 3 kids on her own, and I must admit, I came out okay. In my opinion, if I came out okay with just one parent, I’d like to imagine that a kid who is raised in a dual parent home, with 2 moms or 2 dads, is likely to come out okay as well. Plus, that whole “ Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview” is a load of crap. My father didn’t do much to help shape my worldview, much like Tripp’s father doesn’t seem to be doing much of that for him either. Bristol just needs to shut her mouth and learn to be a better example for her son.

So let me get this right; Ms. Palin says that a Father shapes a child’s world view.. so.. did her Dad teach her to drink to excess, have sex as a young teen and lie about being raped to cover it up? her age has nothing to do with her skills as a parent. im sick of people constantly acting like young mothers arent good mothers. i was a mother for the first time at 19 years old and i am damn good mother and have given some damn good parenting advice. granted yes i have learned more since then and since my second baby was born when i was 20, but every mother learns along the way after her first baby. im not saying her advice is good advice, its actualy advice that i wouldnt follow, but saying she isnt old enough to give parenting advice is completely wrong on your part.

the nerve of some of you. sitting there saying she has no right to give parental advice because of her past and being a single parent. you are no better than she is. you basing your oppinion of her parenting skills solely on what you have read and seen. how dare you. you dont know how she is as a mother. you dont know what goes on in her life when the cameras arent all up in her face. dont judge someones motherly skills when you dont see them being a mother. i have a similar past, i used to go out partying, i used to have pre marital sex, i had my oldest son when i was 19, my kids’ “fathers” are not allowed to see them, and for reasons that non of you need to know, and i am a great fucin mother and have given some good parenting advise to people who have asked for it. yes her comment may have been bad and POSSIBLY hypocritical (doesnt mean it was because you do not know why she wont let her ex see the baby). but dont sit there and talk about her parenting skills and right to give advice as if you know her. it doesnt make her any better than any other judgemental person you all claim to dislike.
