She Danced the Last Dance: Donna Summer Dead at 63
TMZ is reporting that Donna Summer has died, after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Sources close to Summer tell us … the singer was trying to keep the extent of her illness under wraps. We spoke to someone who was with Summer a couple of weeks ago … who says she didn’t seem too bad.
In fact, we’re told she was focused on trying to finish up an album she had been working on.
Summer’s hits read like the soundtrack to the 70′s and 80′s. On the Radio, She Works Hard for the Money, Bad Girls, Hot Stuff, Last Dance - come on now! Summer was the original Rihanna, a club queen with powerhouse vocals that just made you want to dance.
