Pastor Worley: A face of hate.

When someone wants to “build a fence” for a group of people, I get nervous.

When someone says it on stage to the hoots, hollers, and “Amens” of a congregation, I get real fuckin’ angry.

Pastor Charles Worley of the Providence Road Baptist Church, in logic that flows brilliantly from the supposed law-abiding, love-preaching place that the Christian pulpit should be, proposed that gays and lesbians should be thrown behind a fence and left to die out.

Say what?

I figured a way to get rid of all the lesbians and queers. Build a great, big, large fence — 150- or 100-mile-long — put all the lesbians in there… Do the same thing with the queers and the homosexuals and have that fence electrified so they can’t get out… And you know what, in a few years, they’ll die.

But it’s OK, because Pastor Worley will “fly over and drop some food.”

Pastor Worley, you should be ashamed for preaching such hate and for leading a group of people into believing the same. If I make you pukin’ sick because of my identity, I won’t pretend like I’m not the least bit satisfied.

This is one of the many, many, many reasons I asked for a doctor to allow for me to get a tubal ligation when I was 19. Ironically, he wouldn’t do it because of his religion. (Which pissed me off, but he did say that I could call him the day I turned 20 – as if that was a magical number – and if I still wanted the surgery, he would do it … many doctors won’t perform tubal ligations until 26 because they’re pretty much irreversible - though what I really wanted was a hysterectomy. When I turned 20, I just didn’t care enough to bother.) The other reasons: a genetic predisposition to severe mental illness, severe chronic pain, chronic migraines … I rank society’s sucking because of people like him right up there with those.

Second, read Romans 1:29,30; I Cor 6:9,10 & Gal 5:19-21 , and tell me that you do not HONESTLY find yourself somewhere in these verses. Mat 7:1,2 says Judge not, that ye be not judge. Heard a story years ago about a guy who had a heart attack, and when he woke up he told the paramedics, “Keep working on me! Don’t let me die!” Later on, when that was commented on, he remarked that he saw what hell was like and that was because he was destined there at that point in time–boy did he change his life after that! (At least he would hope it was enough)

Hopefully, this “freak of nature” pastor will have a similar heart attack, and go through the pain of having the paramedics painfully reviving him–yes, those who’ve survived heart attacks say the defib’ is very painful–several times, ultimately to fail and end up in his own personal Hell…a slave to a Gay person in Heaven.

His email has been deleted unfortunately, so I couldn’t write to him like I wanted to unfortunately, but here, I guess this is what I wanted to say to him. (mind you, before i wrote this, I sent him an extremely long, drawn out, colourfully worded email that went through fine, but then I felt as if i were giving LGBT a bad name by doing so, so I decided to write another email.)

Dear Mr. Worley, I Applaud You:

I am not a nice person, in fact most of my friends would call me a good-for-nothing rat bastard, but I would like to applaud you for making me look like a better man. Because you, a “pastor”, someone who is supposed to preach love and peace and praise, are doing nothing but spewing disgusting evil words out of your vile mouth! I’m sure you’ll be getting many hate emails, but I really hope you read this one, because instead of insulting you and going on about how you’re wrong, I want to tell you a couple of stories.

My parents are hetersexuals. My father and my mother fell in love in highschool and right after they were married, they conceived me. I am not their only child, they’ve had three more, but I am the only homosexual (thereby proving that its not only queers who make queer babies) but regardless, my heterosexual father not only beats me, but also my younger siblings, all hetersexual as well, and my very straight, heterosexual mother, who has breast cancer. I believe my father to be evil, do you? If you dont, then I believe something to be horribly wrong with your judgement skills.

Now, this story is going to be longer, and a lot more emotional.

I have four friends, who I trust with everything. Two bisexual females, and two homosexual men. This story is about those men. Benji and Charles (aka Rain). They’re in love, I’ve never seen two people so dedicated to one another, even though they live around 1000 miles away. They have plans to meet for the first time, to get married and adopt children, and raise them as loving, accepting people. (Something your mother should have done, just throwing that out there). Benji has esophageal cancer, and he’s dying, but he’s still the happiest, brightest person you’ll ever meet. His doctors say he has maybe five weeks to live (go ahead and smile, I know you want to. I’m sure it makes you happy to know a human being, created in God’s image, is dying). Benji is an amazing person, even if I do treat him like shit, he’s one of my best friends and that boy has gone through hell in his life. His father beat him, his mother committed suicide, his 10 year old brother committed suicide and he’s been beat, broke, burned and all that you can think of. But still, he smiles and he laughs, and he takes time out of his life, the little bit of life he still has left, to make sure other people can smile and be happy too. Him and Rain were made for each other, they’re perfect together, they’d never hit or hurt one another and they’d do anything for the others happiness.

Now you tell me which one sounds like a better couple to you?

I believe there is no difference in queers, lesbains, bisexuals, straights. We are ALL human, and we ALL deserve the love, kindness, support, acceptance and selfless giving that Rain and Benji have. Straights want to marry and have children, gays want to marry and have children.

Straights want love, LGBT (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender, as well as anything in between) want love as well.

Straights and LGBT want happiness, They want hope, they want to live happily ever after.

Just because it makes you “pukin’ sick” to think of kissing another man, or to see two men or woman kissing, doesn’t mean you need to lock them away. Its as simple as never kissing another man, or looking away when you see two LGBT members kissing as well.

Pastor’s are supposed to preach the goodness of Christ, the acceptance of others. It doesn’t matter which version of the bible you stand by, it says do NOT judge others, or else you’ll be judged.

There is nothing different about us, Mr. Worley. Besides you’re a bit pudgier and balder, and older, but otherwise, we are the same, despite your obvious hate towards homosexuals and the like. We breathe the same air, eat the same foods, we both have hearts and minds… I pray that you start using yours, and that you understand exactly what I’m tell you.
