Chevy Goes Gay! “Mom, Dad, I’m Electric.”

When coming out becomes a marketing play to sell more Chevrolets, I think it’s safe to say that gay has gone mainstream.

What do you think of the ad? Cute? A welcome addition to the list of companies backing LGBT equality? Kind of trite? Sound off in the comments.

LOVE it! Kinda makes me a lil guilty that I just purchased a Ford product :-/ Had I seen this ad sooner, I would have gone Chevy. Which is actually what everyone in my family drives and has always driven, but Ford cut me a really good deal for being a public servant.

I do like the ad. I grew up in a very GM family but I have noticed that Ford scores higher in the HRC corporate listings, so that makes it kinda hard when I get to go and buy a new car.

I like the ad but I think it’s an assumption to say that the company backs LGBT equality. Today’s media says a great many things to achieve an agenda, and very little has to do with truth.

Its a cute ad. But its just an ad targeting the glbt community. But that’s OK too, most car ads target straight parents or single straight men. It is nice to know such a large company doesn’t discriminate and isn’t afraid to run such an ad. Next time I’m ready for a new car, I’ll be looking at the volt.
