Mr. Rogers ‘Garden of Your Mind’ Music Video Goes Viral

Even in death, Mr. Rogers manages to soothe us with his gentle lullaby.

Long time fans rejoyce, because an “Autotune the News“- style song featuring clips from the popular children’s television show has officially gone viral.

Released Thursday morning, PBS studios commissioned producer John D. Boswell to create the track, which has racked up an impressive amount of YouTube views and massive social media shares. After some Twitter love from celebrities like Neil Patrick Harris and Alyssa Milano, the video was featured on “Good Morning America” and “The Today Show”

“The past 24 hours have been completely amazing and gratifying,” said Kevin Dando, who handles social media for PBS. “And the video has just been completely embraced by social media.“

I must say, I appreciate the message of this video. As a young artist and budding pop star (more on that later), I’m inspired by any encouragement to use my imagination. It’s okay to be curious, and I respect this song too much to follow through with that double entendre.
