i think it’s cute. and….they REMAKE everything else. NOTHING is holy or sanctified. Not Marriage….not even Steel Magnolias.

I fail to see how and why remaking the original film with what appears to be quite nearly the exact same script and an all-black ensemble is necessary. But you can bet your lily white ass I’ll be watching it.

I agree the original is amazing, but if they’re gonna do a remake with such an all-star cast the least they could do was show it in theaters. i mean even if no one goes to movies anymore it’s kinda a slap in the face to the legacy of the movie, in my opinion.

I personally love the original and of course I will watch this remake because there is nothing wrong with a remake…unless it’s a bad remake. I will say this…Alfre Woodard makes me want to see this movie. She is playing my girl Ouiser (Weeza) Boudreaux made famous by Shirley Maclaine. If Alfre can rock that part then this movie will be a success.
