Brad Pitt’s Mama Writes Baby-Killing, Gay Marriage, Obama Rant in Local Paper

Brad Pitt’s mother Jane is no fan of Barack Obama or his baby-murdering, gay-marrying policies.

This little piece of internet pocket lint has been republished, redacted, retracted, credited and dissected so many times over the past two days that I hardly see the point in not just printing it in its entirety.

I have given much thought to Richard Stoecker’s letter (“Vote for Mormon against beliefs,” June 15). I am also a Christian and differ with the Mormon religion.

But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.

Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.

I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility.

The News-Leader has now twice confirmed the author to be that Jane Pitt.

Something tells me the next Pitt holiday dinner table is going to be prrrr-etty awkward. Brad and Angelina have like nineteen children. Statistically, there’s an LGBT tot or two in that family. I can’t imagine Mama Jolie taking to kindly to Mama Pitt’s backwards stance on equality.

Doesn’t knowing that Brad Pitt’s mother is an anti-gay Bible-thumper kind of make you love him all that much more? Thank goodness the apple fell far, far away from the tree.

I have always valued the wisdom of my elders…and I have always lamented that past a certain age (in responding to a changing world) many of their heads turn to mush as their dogmatic feet dig into the ground. There is a selfishness here that wants to keep the world in their familiar age and territory because they fear becoming obsolete…at the cost of all else. Too bad it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy for those who do not remain open to life, to others, and to change. What a wretch.

My mother and my in-laws both think this way. Actually, it isn’t awkward at all. We tend to agree to disagree, and have some pretty good discussions. There is no anger or fighting, and no hate.

Between the generation gap and their religious beliefs, which have pushed this agenda far longer than we Liberals have had a voice in mainstream politics, it is unlikely to change. It doesn’t have to.

The new generation is largely more tolerant and less afraid. We are seeing that reflected in society every day. So let those who believe this way do so. It’s unfortunate, because they are so afraid and for nothing. It must be terrible to live that way.

I don’t think we need to point and sneer every time someone ignorant proclaims their personal beliefs against gays or abortion. However infuriating it is, this is the minority of thought, now. Let’s just be happy for that victory, and wait for it to continue to grow in a more open world.

There are real battles to fight.

Unfortunately, they’re not really the minority yet. We need to call them out, because it shows people that being this way is NOT okay. If we all just stay silent, they’ll have power again. This is the exact moment we need to be shoving these issues in people’s faces.

In the same way we expect people to be tolerant of us, we should be tolerant of those inflicted with Christianity. It’s not their fault they were indoctrinated as children. Instead of making fun of them, we should continue to be our awesome selves–and may be call our grandmas every once in a while so they know their gay grandchildren love them too.

Just a note: Not only is one or two of their kids probably gay, Angelina Jolie is openly bisexual. So that must sting like hell. That’s too bad. Hopefully they’ve already cut off communication with her so that her toxic words can’t infect the children.
