Publicly-Funded Christian School Refuses to Admit 3-Yr-Old for Having Two Dads
New Mexico’s Hope Christian School has some ‘splainin to do.
The bones of the story are similar; A 3-year-old boy is denied admission to the Christian school because – GASP! – he has two fathers, but KOAT thankfully delves a bit deeper into the story to provide us all with an infuriating twist.
Hope Christian School is funded in part by federal tax dollars. While religious institutions cling desperately to their right to openly discriminate, it is illegal for federal institutions, and in some cases institutions using federal dollars, to play the hate game as well.
The ACLU is currently investigating whose heiny to spank.
And just a casual observation here, but how exactly does Hope Christian School align their accusation that the boy doesn’t have a “Biblical family lifestyle” with their own teaching that Jesus had two dads? Eh, eh?
