Surely Sarah Palin’s Chick-Fil-A Facebook Photoshoot Had Zero to Do with Homophobia, Right?

America’s voice of reason and temperance, Sarah Palin, popped into her local Chick-Fil-A for some sandwiches, waffle fries and a totally candid photo op that was immediately posted to Facebook and Twitter.

Gross.

But lest you think that Ms. Palin did it all ~~for the nookie~~ to whip her right wing followers into a homophobic frenzy, let’s just go ahead and set the record straight here.

Sarah Palin’s first and only social media-blasted purchase at the single most contentious restaurant chain in the entire world the very same week that CEO Dan Cathy voiced his support for discriminating against gay and lesbian Americans was really just a coincidence. She was simply there “to support a great business.”

Somehow the mayors of some of the largest and most diverse cities in the country have come to a wholly different opinion about the homophobic chicken slinger, as has CNN:

bashed, but OMM, FRC, AFA, Focus on the Family and who knows what else
