AFA’s Bryan Fischer Calls for New Underground Railroad to Kidnap Kids from Gay Parents

The American Family Association, both a designated Hate Group and a recipient of Chick-Fil-A donations, has gone too far. The group’s head hater, Bryan Fischer has used a bizarre blog post from a bisexual man who was raised by his bisexual mother as justification to call for a New Underground Railroad.

But rather than spirit slaves from the Confederate South up to New England and Canada, this new incarnation of Harriet Tubman’s legacy network would kidnap children being raised by same-sex parents and secretly transport them far away from their loving homes.

To be perfectly honest, I write about a lot of ugly things here on Unicorn Booty. But this takes the cake. This may literally be the worst thing I have ever heard somebody propose in my life.

Interesting…while I disagree with the concept of taking away any kid from any parent solely based on sexual orientation, if you listen to the entire commentary, he isn’t focusing on the sexual orientation issues. He is talking about an abusive, former, same sex partner who is using the child to hurt her former partner, who just happens to be the child’s natural mother. I am not a fan of this guy, but he is making a good point. Sad, though, that such an underground railroad that is legitimately used to save children from ANY abusive parent (regardless of sexual orientation) would eventually be turned by the religious zealots into a way to take kids away from parent solely because they are same sex.

This man has lied so much he would not know the truth if it hit him in the face. What he says about this case is a lie. I have been watching this from the beginning and it is nothing like what this Hate Group Leader says. The AFA and Fischer are one of the top Hate Groups in the country. wtf does her sexuality have to do with the fact that she is assumed to be a bad parent? I take offense that he is correlating her sexuality to the cause of her bad parenting. Excuse me but she was messed up from the start. And it sounds like she was not a lesbian in the 1st place. It just sounds like she hated herself and hated men. He’s just saying that so people would gain your trust. Although that may be true why doesn’t he say for children of opposite sex homes that go through similar problems (fathers raping daughters [Case of Jefferey York] and mothers causing sons to assist in murder of sisters [Case of Theresa Knorr])

I was listening to the radio broadcast, actively at first, then I got distracted while designing some things… and I couldn’t figure out why I was getting more and more cranky, then I realized this asshat was still talking… Anyway… This is just ridiculous… Every time I see this bastards name pop up, I know reading the article will just upset me, but I have this morbid compulsion to read it anyway… Can’t wait until we gays get all our Constitutional Rights and organizations like this are dissolved.

I would say he has a point if his focus was about abusive parents in general. But it isn’t. He makes it like the reason why it is abusive is because the parents are same-sex. Which is bullshit. I grew up in an abusive household which consisted of a mother and a father so I don’t want to hear this shit about it’s all because the parents are gay. Why is this guy coming up with this now? Child abuse has been going on forEVER. Because he’s making it a gay rights issue, not a child’s rights issue.
