SARS, Y’all. It’s Been a Tough Week.
Sorry for the light bloggy load, lovelies. It’s been a very difficult week. I had a nasty little accident on my bicycle on Wednesday (I was wearing a helmet) in a torrential downpour and have been feeling pretty ill ever since. Also, the house across the street from me was hit by lightning yesterday right in front of eyes!
But, but, buuuuut it hasn’t been all bad news. I did find this tiny frog swimming down my street yesterday during our daily summer monsoon.
I’m trying my best to rest up because tomorrow is full of wonders and marvels. The St. Roch Cupcake Throwdown! Camel and Ostrich Races at the fairgrounds! And Booty’s head bartender, Jeremy JF Thompson, is throwing the Second Annual New Orleans Daiquiri Festival tomorrow afternoon.
Must…recuperate…in time…
Cupcakes, ostriches and daiquiris? I know, I know. I’m living a charmed life.
