Would somebody please booksmart hip hop’s HBIC about the Republican Party’s promise to ban all abortions, write a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage in all fifty states, and destroy our national parks/the world by tearing every last bit of fossil fuel out of our planet?

Because Nicki’s vouching for Mitt Romney is totally unacceptable.

I think the real question here should be “Who the hell cares what Nicki Minaj things about politics?” Unless she’s hiding a poli-sci degree in those sweater bunnies, she can have her opinion all she wants but it carries about as much weight as wagon she’s draggin’ does with me.

What I find totally unacceptable is people from any demographic group telling others that they’re expected to vote a certain way because they are part of said group. Gays, African Americans, and other minorities can (and do) vote Republican, too.

Aside from the fact that she can vote however she wants, I find it hard to believe that she put the phrase “I’m voting for Mitt Romney” in that song for any other reason than “it rhymes with the other stuff.” Until she actually says it straight-faced on a talk show or whatever, I’m not actually going to believe it.

Did anyone ever think that maybe she was using Sarcasm? Stop and think about it for a second: Nicki Minaj is one of the most socially open rappers, regardless of your opinion of her, and it seems rather unlikely that she would actually vote for someone that would take away her right to choose what she wanted to do with her body.
