Mitt Romney took a dip in Lake Neutrogena Sunless Tan yesterday in preparation for his special on Spanish language channel Univision.

While it’s unclear at this time which of MTV’s resident Teen Moms was brought on as his interim campaign stylist, the Republican presidential nominee (Ha!) was, for lack of a better phrase, WEARING SOMEBODY ELSE’S SKIN.

"Orange you going to vote for meeee?"

If my Facebook news feed is any indication, popular consensus is that homeboy slathered on the orange to play up his father’s Mexican roots and appeal to the Latino vote. Because on Planet Romney, demonizing an entire ethnic swath of Americans is made right by donning brown-face. Oh dear.

He’s been campaigning outdoors for weeks you morons…white people turn dark after days on end in the hot sun. Is this all you have to talk about. Our embassies all over the world are being attacked and people have died. You’re concerned about his skin color? What’s O’bama doing about it? He apologized for a stupid documentary and went on the David Letterman show…you ok with that?

Actually he had a few days break between campaigning so he wouldn’t be that dark. Also the interview that he did earlier this week with Fox news he still wasn’t that dark on tv.

the only person who apologized for the documentary was a US ambassador. He made a personal apology when things started getting heated up in an attempt to calm things down. You can rant about him if you want, but I agree with President Obama that we should excuse a man for trying to save his (and several others) life by speaking without waiting for permission.

You guys should watch the whole video, he continues by stating,

He wants the word marriage to be for men and women, but he wants us to have more of the rights we deserve.

Yes, but that’s idiotic. That’s also classic thread-waliking, hair-splitting Romney-speak for trying to have it both ways on an issue, since, in the absence of actual principles, he is a slave to political expediency. Just wait five minutes, or until he’s speaking in front of a room full of evangelicals, and I guarantee you his tune will change.

This is exactly the right point. Although the GBLT community is simultaneously trying to secure equal rights for significant partnerships AND gain equal privilege to marriage, we can’t accept any plea bargains that sell one out for another, especially when Romney’s promises for supporting any gay rights are a bald faced lie.
