Miasha’s ‘Everybody’s Beautiful’ Could be the Next Feel-Good Anthem

There are many perks that come with writing for Unicorn Booty, but the opportunity to hear exciting new music is definitely one of the perk-iest.

I swear I have opinions about many subjects, but I’m finally coming into my own as UB’s resident music expert. If you don’t believe me, ask me anything music related in the comments below, booty bouncers.

Pop music is my all time favorite genre, because when it’s done right, it evokes this feeling of pure joy that Gregorian Chant has yet to give me. This is why I make Pop music myself (follow me, and you can hear it soon) and why I like to support my fellow pop tart in our quest to make sure all humans on planet earth suffer from cranial diabetes via our sugary bubblegum anthems.

Recently, I received an email containing a song from New York-based Pop singer, Miasha. I’m a sucker for a great dance song; Ad an empowering message, and I’ll pretty much do your bidding. Miasha’s official website also provides some interesting info on this up-and-coming artist.

“I had a hunger for music and a voice everyone said was made for opera,” she says. “But I couldn’t feel it because at the same time I had an intensity to express more like those soul divas that I loved and grew up on.”

Miasha took to dancing in the city and the desert, the latter having a great deal of influence on her sound.

“I went to the desert at a time of great confusion for me when I was facing a lot of personal tragedy. At the festival there was a temple where you could write anything you wanted on a wall. At the end of Burning Man the temple is lit ablaze and everyone’s wishes rise with the smoke. I wrote asking for strength and direction. And as I watched the temple burn, the visual of the wall coming down was like a slap in the face that left me stunned and suddenly centered. I knew I had to sing again.”

Burning Man + Bombastic Vocals = Pop music gold!

How beautiful do you feel after listening to Miasha? I’ve been told a Peter Rauhofer remix is on the way as well, just in case you’re not dancing already.
