The New Ke$ha Single Makes Me Want to ‘Die Young’

Love her or hate her, Ke$ha is back with more cranial crack to ad to your “Guilty Pleasures” playlist on Spotify. Make sure you have the appropriate privacy settings turned on when you listen to it over and over again.

“Die Young” is the first single from Ke-dollar sign-ha’s upcoming album, Warrior, and it just dropped. I could tell you the release date of the album, but I haven’t really bothered looking it up, and we all know it’s going to “leak” early anyway. I think it comes out sometime in December, so maybe we’ll have a full review by Thanksgiving.

Apparently Ke$ha has opted for less Auto-Tune on her upcoming LP, but after a couple of listens to “Die Young” it seems that less is in fact more. During a recent interview with Billboard, Ke$ha’s main man, Dr. Luke, spilled some details on the upcoming LP.

“You’re going to hear her voice more,” Luke (ne Lukasz Gottwald) says. “She asked for less production tricks and stuff like that this time. There are more guitars on the record now, too; on (‘Animal’), Ke$ha was the one who told me, ‘Under no circumstance will I have any guitars on the record.’ That wasn’t really my call. So we made those (songs) without guitars. This record we’re allowed to use a little guitar.”

Seems reasonable. The good Doctor also added,

“You’re going to hear an artist that’s grown and is evolving, but it’s Ke$ha. She’s no choir girl yet.”

What do you think of “Die Young”? Are you excited for Warrior? Also, check out this video of Ke$ha tormenting unsuspecting subway pedestrians in Tokyo by “previewing” the track. Tokyo is not amused, Ke$h.
