This Brave Young Man Needs YOUR Help to Share His Heart-wrenching Story (Video)
Director Elliot London, the guy who made us all bawl our eyes out earlier this year during his short film, The Wedding Dance, is revealing the next trick up his sleeve.
London has given us a sneak peak of his upcoming film, Friend, to share with y’all. And let’s just get this out of the way right now, you’re going to need a box of tissues to make it through to the end. But please make sure that you do. Even though it hurts.
In the clip above, Joseph recounts the bullying he faced growing up gay in Tennessee, and the heartbreaking series of events that led him to the brink of suicide.
The footage is raw and real and so important for us to share with our family, friends and loved ones. We write about suicides and lives lost more often than we’d like to here at UB, and here is a brave example of someone who managed to save his own life.
If you like what you see, please, Please, PLEASE consider making a donation to London’s campaign to raise the necessary funds to tell his feature-length story. And if you think it’s not important to tell the stories of LGBT young people, can I ask you to please just go ahead and rewind this video back to the 4:20 mark?
