Kelly Clarkson Singing A Different Tune for Obama

Okay, you guys…I get it. I’m obsessed with Kelly Clarkson. I love everything about her. I’ve seen her in concert three times and I own ALL of her music. In fact, my very first post for this fabulous website was about Kelly Clarkson! It’s my fanatic dream to meet her. So, Kelly, if you’re reading…my life would suck without you.

However, there have been bumps in our relationship. For example,  she openly endorsed Republican candidate Ron Paul on Twitter last year. I know, woof. Just when I thought I couldn’t love her more, she comes out in favor of a candidate who is against gay rights. I mean, I get that it’s a free country and people can vote for whomever they so please and blah blah but, KELLY! Whyyyyy!? You know how much the gays love you!

Luckily, it looks like we can put all that behind us due to her recent interview with the Daily Star. While touring over in the UK, she stated:

I’ve been reading online about the debates and I’m probably going to vote for Obama again, even though I’m a Republican at heart. I can’t support Romney’s policies as I have a lot of gay friends and I don’t think it’s fair they can’t get married.

I’m not a hardcore feminist but we can’t be going back to the 50s.

Obama is a great guy. I’ve met him and I’m a fan of Michelle too. She has been busy promoting better education and healthy diets, which is something we could all use a dose of reality on.
