Ke$ha tells Seventeen Magazine that she is bisexual. Or does she?

Like a virgin.

“I don’t love just men. I love people. It’s not about a gender. It’s just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you’re with.”

In a further twist, Seventeen has the word “men” hyperlinked within the quote. Clicking it directs you to the magazine’s Hot Guy Panel Exclusives! subpage. And on that note, I can actually feel myself getting dumber, so that’s quite enough of this post, yes?

I learned a new phrase today…”It’s called Identity, not YOUdentity…ain’t nobody’s business how she identifies herself as. What a hypocrite. Would you have put the effort into making this cute little poll if she had come out as gay? I doubt it.

Brufanegra, for years it’s been a cliche for a female performer to “come out” as bisexual for no reason other than increased sex appeal for men (and if some gay/bi women fall for it too, even better), when in reality most of them aren’t remotely bi. This has the unfortunate side-effect of making it hard to take a bisexual celebrity seriously even if they’re being honest.

To be honest, I think there’s just a lot of skepticism because it seems like women in the pop music industry seem to be coming out as bisexual one after the other…which leads many to believe that they’re actually taking advantage of bisexuality and making it harder for legitimate bisexuals to come out. That being said, it’s not for me to decide whose label is legitimate or not. I can only hope Ke$ha is truly being honest.

So, is the reason no one accepts that she’s pansexual ( she does disavow using gender as a demarkation) simply because she’s a well-off popstar?
