Two Dudes Experience the Pain of Childbirth. And It’s Awesome (Video)

Leave it to the Dutch to strap on electro-stimulation machines to two dudes so they can experience the pain of muscle contractions during childbirth.

Things get weird at around 3:45.

Obviously, the machines only simulate the contractions of childbirth, not the actual birth itself. I may not know my way around lady parts, but I’m pretty sure there’s some pain associated with the… how do I put this gently… human being coming out of a vagina. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

I applaud these two guys though, I really do. Babies, birth, the miracle of life- they’re all beautiful things. But this video reaffirms every TLC show about childbirth I’ve ever seen. Which is a lot.

That’s the most cringe-inducing video I’ve seen in a while. Two handsome dudes experiencing muscle contractions of child birth = Worst. Porno. Ever.

but women mostly choose to have meds now. Sorry but this constant contest mainly on the part of women, where they are trying to prove how much tougher, smarter, or manlier than males is sad. Men no longer have any role in society and have no identity, all leads in all tv shows and movies are women kicking ass but yet if he dares in real life to hit a woman he is in jail, and looked down on. When women start boycotting for the right to be force to have to join the selective service then I will pay attention to how awesome they are.

Funnily enough MALES get the worst physical pain possible
The amount of dels of pain (the unit pain is measured in) is massively higher from a swift kick to the balls than whats suffered during labour
Labour may be a prolonged experience, but the actual height of the pain is trumped by an attack on the testicals

This was pretty funny.
That said, I’m not sure how well it really compares with labor.
When you are in labor, it is certainly difficult – I’ve done it, 20 hours, no pain meds – but it is a pain with a purpose, and your body kicks in with all kinds of endorphins to get you through. I don’t know if these guys experienced that.
Also, I’d hate for women to be scared away from natural childbirth by watching videos of men (or women) writhing in pain. It doesn’t really hurt as much as it looks and sounds like it hurts – you cry out and move instinctively. Plus you feel super powerful afterwards, and it’s much healthier for mom and baby. It boggles my mind how many women who are careful to eat healthily and avoid toxins during pregnancy allow themselves to be pumped full of drugs right at the end…
