U R GAY Marriage-Eligible in Uruguay. Senate Votes to Legalize Love!
Still stinging from Argentina beating the gay-jokiest nation in South America to the same-sex marriage finish line, Uruguay is racing toward second place.
Senators approved the marriage equality bill 23-8. Next week, lawmakers in the lower house, which approved a different version of the legislation late last year, are expected to vote on the senate’s version.
Uruguay, France, and the UK are all in the process of making same-sex marriage the law of their respective lands. Will the United States do the right thing and join them later this year? Will Paraguay run a quickie defense and outgay its gay neighbor?
