The New York City queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 turned up on Friday night, releasing a new track titled “C.L.A.T.”

Aja, Peppermint, Sasha Velour and Alexis Michelle are all slaying the competition on this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Their New York love bedazzled proudly on their sleeve, the fabulous foursome have teamed up to release some new music with the help of DJ Mitch Ferrino.

The crowd was getting into the gig on Friday night at the Copacabana in Hell’s Kitchen, just steps away from Times Square. Hosted by Brita Filter, the evening featured individual performances by each queen. Alexis Michelle served musical theater with a Man of La Mancha number, Sasha slayed some Le Tigre and Peppermint parted the crowd to show everyone in attendance how it’s fucking done.

The night culminated with their first live performance of the song “C.L.A.T.” that stands for club, legend, art and theater. Each queen represents a different letter in the acronym, showcasing not only their own individualized styles of drag but also the very diverse drag community in New York City.

“I was so honored and thrilled that the Season 9 girls reached out to me to make their single,” Ferrino told us. “Not only did it validate the work I did on Bob the Drag Queen’s “Purse First,” but I really loved the message they wanted to send with the song. That after all the filming and edits, no matter what is — or isn’t — about to go down, they’re still sisters.”

He added: “Personally I can’t wait to see what happens. This season is amazing! I love that we get four girls from New York City this year representing club, legend, art and theater!”

The song will be available on April 21.
